Wind-driven generator
applications
It is an equipment to convert wind energy into electric power, both DC24V (or DC36V) and AC220V output are available. The machine is suitable to be used in those areas rich in wind energy potential, to satisfy the demand of power for lighting, household appliance, telecommunication devices and electric tools etc.

1.Applications and Features:

The series products of generator is a new type of wind-generating set which converts wind energy into electric power which is charged into storage battery set ( 24V, 36V or 48V). It can be widely used in areas rich in wind resources. It is capable to provide AC 220V/50HZ (or 110V/60HZ) for lighting, TV, washing machine, refrigerator, telecommunication equiptment, and electric tools, and so on.

Features of the generator are: simple structure, light weight, wide range of working speed, good generating performance in low wind speed (start-up wind speed: Beaufort Force 2 wind (2.5m/s), high efficiency of conversion and large overload capacity(operating stably and supply safely in Force 10 wind (25m/s)), easy to operate, reliable quality, long service life.

2. Structure

The unit is mainly composed of wind rotor, permanet magnet generator, tail-vane, stand, electric system. Electric system is composed of electric controller, storage battery, electric cable, etc.(Fig.1)

3. Installation procedure

1). Unpack and check the parts against parts list.

2). The unit should be installed in open, flat, no barrier within 20 meters area to prevent wind on the hard ground. Dig a cube hole in the centre of the ground at size of 40*40*40(CM). Then dig four triangle(each side is 80cm) pits (depth:70cm) symmetrically four meters from the central hole in four directions. One angle of the each triangle pit points the central hole. Each set of ground anchors is buried with crushed stone concrete tightly in pit. The guy wires should direct the central hole.(Fkig.2)

3). Fit together the upper, middle, lower mast, and the base. Lay the base on the central hole, lay down the mast through one triangle pit.(Fig.3ˇ±Aˇ±). Fix the base plate with foundation bolt, washer, and nut(M16). (Caution: The nut is upground) Flatten the base plate, pour the hole with crushed stone concrete(more sone).
4). Put up the disk(slipped on the upper mast which has four edge holes) to the upper. Insert each slip hooks(one end of four guy wires) through the edge holes and ring the upper mast. Then put down the disk together with four slip hooks to the bulge of the upper mast. Hook up the open screw buckles of three guy wires(the other end)(Fig.3ˇ±A.B.Dˇ±) with ground anchors, erect up the mast then hook up the last buckles.(atˇ±Cˇ±) Adjust the length of the buckles or the wire to make tend to vertical.(Caution: Do not make the guy wire over tightly.)

5). After the foundation solidifies and hardens, tighten the nut(M16)on the base palte. Adjust the length of the buckles or the wire pricesely to make the mast vertical.

6). Unscrew the two screw buckles (Fig. ˇ°B.D.ˇ±) and then loose the buckles at U-shape fork which last hooked up (at ˇ°Cˇ±), lay down the mast direct ˇ°Aˇ±. Sustain the mast at the lower end of the upper mast with a sample stand (at about half meter high).

7). Insert the supporting shaft of the generator into the top of the upper mast. Tighten the side bolt (M10).

8). Insert the end of the output cable through the bottom to the top of the mast, pass through the supporting shaft and extend out at 0.5 meter, pass through the rubber passage ring on the top & the passage hole(§ć16 ) on shell of the generator. Connect the cable separately to the three leads of the generator on the cable plate. The bottom cables pass though the hole(§ć16) on the base plate are connected to the ground cable plate.

9). Hinge the tail fin positioner and stop flat to the shell of the generator with bolt, washer, spring washer, and nut(M12)

10). Hinge the yaw arm to the shell of the generator with pin(§ć12*175), washer, split pin(§ć3). Fix the yaw arm, tail fin together with bolt(M10)and spring washer.

11). Fix the hub on axle of the generator tightly with nut(M16) and spring washer.

12). Install the blade, washers, swing rod to the hub with bolt (M10*80), spring washer, nut(M10).(the twist moment of the bolt is about 5Kg.M). Caution: Do not exchange the blade and the swing rod at will. They are formed to one set selected particularly according to weight, please check mark..

13). Fix the nose cone to the hut with bolt(M6),washer, and spring washer.

14). Erect up the mast and hoke up the guy wire. Adjust the length of the four screw buckles precisely to make the mast verticle.fasten the guy wire. Check the connecting parts, fastening parts. After confirm to safety and reliable, wind the joint of the buckles one by one with galvanized iron wire provent from loosing and unhooking. Apply the anticorrosive oil on the screw pole of the buckles finally.

15). Connect with red wire to the two terminal(the ˇ°+ˇ± postive pole) of the battery set and the controller(Fig.4). and with black(or yellow)wire to otherˇ±-ˇ±. Apply the anticorrosive oil on the connection of the battery set. Caution: the connectoin must be tighten and good contact. Do not connect the ˇ°+ˇ± posive pole and the ˇ°-ˇ± negtive pole in the wrong way.

16). Connect with the wires to wiring pole of the controller and the electric current distributor directly.

17). Connect to the output-cables of the wind ¨Cgenerator set and the input wiring pole of the controller.

18). We can supply three kinds of controllers according to different demand: a. only equip with certain poles ˇ°+,-ˇ° output outlet(output DC);b. be equipped with both certain poles DC output outlet and AC220V output outlet(two holes); c. equip with upsaid two outlets and AC220V outlet(three holes) apply for ice box etc. please use carefully.

4. Operation and maintenance

1). Please read the instrution carefully. Do not install or lay down the mast due to safety in windy.

2). Check the mast and fout guy wire frequently and adjust in time when loosened.

3). Do not stand under the unit when the rotor turning fast.

4). Stop the machine when the wind speed exceeds Beaufort force10(25m/s).

5). Stop the machine and check immediately when abnormal noise or severely shocks appear during operation.

6). The wires of this electric system should be arranged seperately. Do not mix with other electric system.

We suggest: lighting with D.C.; housedhold appliances use A.C.(inverse); and ice box must be connected to the special outlet.(the controller is equipped with protecting circuit for ice box.. Again electrify when shut down, the ice box will start delayed 5-9 minutes.)

7). The battery set must be connected first when wiring the controller, then the output cable of the generator. When seperating, the output cable of the generator should be shut down first and then the battery set.

8). The red shut button turns toˇ±onˇ± position generally. Turn the button to ˇ° closeˇ± temporarily when the battery be charged enough or defense against the coming storm wind. Caution: turn to ˇ°closeˇ± only permitted when the rotor turns slowly. Prohibit from turning when the rotor turns fast.

9). Methods of starting and stoping the wind-generator set.

a. Prop the rear end of the yaw arm(red sign) with the U-shape fork on the top of the stopping rod to stand up to the tail fin. When the pin on the shell of the generator inclines to the right. Put down the stopping rod. Then stand up to the tail pin positioner to make the tail pin inclines to one side. That is the stopping position.

b. Hook the rear end of the yaw arm with the stopping rod, drag the rotor to incline the wind when you need stop the generator temporary at high speed of the rotor. Then turn the red button of the controller to ˇ°closeˇ± when the rotor turns slowly.

c. If you need start the unit again when the rotor is in the stopping position inclining the wind, please turn the red button to ˇ°onˇ±. Stand up to the tail fin at the rear end of the yaw arm(red sign.) when the hinged pin in the shell of the generator incline to the left, put down the stopping rod. So the tail fin regain to working position. Hook down the tail fin positioner with the stopping rod, clip the positioner to the yaw arm.

10). Disassembling of rotor

a. romove the nose cone.

b. Romove the nut(M16)and washer from the axle of the generator.

c. Make use of special tools. First screw the socket onto the hub(to he upmost), then loosen the bolt(M16)with wrench, remove the rotor.(Fig.5)
